Who We Are
We have been gambling on sports games for over 10 years. We started out with small wagers on our favorite NFL teams and grew from there. We turned to College Football on Saturdays with minimal success and when football was over we turned to College Basketball and the NBA. Without knowing enough about handicapping basketball games, we turned to handicapping services promising us guaranteed winners and locks of the year. It didn't take us long to figure out that these services charged a lot of money and rarely produced results any better than we could do on our own. As time went by we learned more and more about handicapping all sports and now after 10 years have become successful at picking consistant winners. We don't win everyday and we know we'll never win everyday. However, we win more days than we lose and that's what has helped us become successful and consistantly see profits.
Why We Put Our Picks Online
We have been handicapping games for so long now that we have met many friends and colleagues that also enjoy gambling on sports. Word got around that we have been successful and we were being asked what games we are taking for the day or the upcoming weekend. After many calls and many emails, we finally decided to put our picks online starting with the 2008 College Football Season. On August 28th, 2008 Winning Sports Network was born. Not only did we feel that putting our picks online would make it easier for all of our friends and collegues to view our picks, but we also thought it would be fun for us and possibly help a few other sports gamblers that don't have time to handicap their own games but like to play daily with above average results.
Money Management
Money Management is the key to being successful with the Winning Sports Network. The true indicator of our success is measured in net units, not wins and losses. Net units are determined by the amount of units won or lost plus the vig (juice).
Our plays are rated on a unit basis between the range of 1-10 with the majority of the plays being between 2-4 units and only our very strong top plays ranging between 5-10. You will need to determine the amount of your bankroll you can spend each day and then divide it up by our total number of units in play. For example, if you are willing to spend 100 dollars of your bankroll on our plays today, you will need to divide that 100 dollars by our total number of units. If today's selections include a 3 Unit play and a 2 unit play then we have 5 total units for the day. Take 100 dollars divided by 5 units to get 20 dollars per unit. Your plays for the day would be 40 dollars on the 2 Unit play, and 60 dollars on the 3 Unit play.
Your bankroll per day can increase as you begin to win money so everyday your units may be worth a little more. If we are having a bad streak, which is bound to happen to every sports handicapper know matter what some of the crooked touts will tell you, then you would want to lower your bankroll for the day and lower the amount per unit.
Over the long run, you will be able to show positive results if you are disciplined and stay true to your money management system.
